Minimalist electronics meet cinematic visuals in a meditative performance full of contrast
This truly exceptional audiovisual live experience was composed and produced in Berlin and in one of the world's deepest marble quarries in southern Portugal. In a cycle of electroacoustic creations for analogue synths, woodwinds, and voice, combined with field recordings and visuals captured under the blazing sun during the hottest summer on record, Maya Shenfeld and Pedro Maia explore change and repetition, fleeting moments and deepening layers of time, balance and threat. Maia's analogue imagery, which pushes the boundaries of Super 8 film and drone recordings, engages in dialogue with Shenfeld's layered compositions, creating an immersive live experience with a unique vibe.
