Overdrive festival brings you exclusively Belgian artists pushing right up to the edge of their breakthrough.

You'll find the sharpest homegrown talent at overdrive, Het Depot's one-day indoor festival. On October 22, three stages will burst at the seams with Belgian artists who are just under the radar and ready to break through.

overdrive is organized in collaboration with Het Depot.

Lipstick Music

Lili Molli Shina and DJ Kit are quickly becoming two of the most striking new acts in the electronic scene. Their sound mixes a nostalgic early-2000s aesthetic with futuristic bass and modern romance. Shina delivers glamorous, intimate top lines, while DJ Kit works with minimalist, rock-inspired productions, heavy basslines and hypnotic loops. After earlier underground favorites, the duo is now working on their long-awaited debut project.

Youniss

Antwerp-based multidisciplinary artist Youniss Ahamad is hard to pin down to a single box. His energetic live shows combine post-punk, hip-hop and noise, and have already taken him to festivals like Rewire, Roadburn and Les Nuits.

His roots in Ivory Coast and Iraq, and his experiences as a Black man with an Arabic name in Antwerp, are a major source of inspiration. After the experimental White Space and Do We Try Beyond The Edge?, Youniss explores new boundaries once again on his new record Good Effort!, with influences from Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus and Slauson Malone.

gone icon

gone icon is the nom de plume of producer and singer-songwriter Jonas Steurs. Flanked by multi-instrumentalist Michiel Dondeyne and drummer Tim Caramin, he's feverishly writing a new parable. In it, he explores grunge, nu-metal and post-pop.

The story unfolds in a mythical end-times where you sink into a lyrical fever dream. Expect a stack of guitars, noise and a glassy falsetto. For fans of Cocteau Twins, Nirvana and Fine.

Jean-Paul Groove

Brussels trio Jean-Paul Groove proves that electronic music doesn't always have to come from machines or algorithms. Their music revolves around the human, instinctive character of the dancefloor: bodies moving, reacting and energizing one another.

With a punk mentality wrapped in a funky jacket, the trio combines energy, groove and a raw live feel. Their sound reaches back to original rave culture while looking forward at the same time. As a result, Jean-Paul Groove has grown into one of the standout names within Brussels' new electronic scene.

WEBSTEK

K-pop phenomenon WEBSTEK is a child of the Internet. A link that catches your attention but that you're not really supposed to click. It rides the new wave of headstrong Dutch-language music. WEBSTEK is a side effect of the digital age.

ROSEMARY

ROSEMARY is a young post-punk band from Antwerp making raw, rhythmic and danceable music. They describe their sound as "Synthpunk": a mix of electronic punk, poetic lyrics and existential dance urgency.

Their music reflects a world in which everything has to be faster, prettier and stronger, while vulnerability often fades into the background. For ROSEMARY, that vulnerability is precisely political. Their live sound balances between drinking and dancing, crying and headbanging, chaos and choreography. In other words: doubt, but at 160 bpm.

only tears

only tears is the project of Jeroen Ernest Geboers and Lei Van Gestel, born out of late-night studio sessions and a shared love of pop noise. Their sound combines heavy compression with a distinct digital Y2K aesthetic.

After Lei returned from a period in the woods, the two met at a café, talked about music, and wrote their first song the very next day. With recent airplay on KEXP, only tears is currently working on their debut EP, with new releases coming in 2026 and their first live shows this fall.

LAUVEMETENDER

LAUVEMETENDER is an indie sleaze storm all on her own. After a bitter musical breakup, she decided to do everything herself: writing, producing, playing every note, from sharp guitars to raw vocals. Her songs blend lazy, distorted snapshots of everyday life with sharp revenge lyrics aimed at those who underestimated her.

Rhythmic, intense and full of venom, her sound recalls the irony of Wet Leg, the sharpness of St. Vincent and the fiery vulnerability of Wolf Alice. This is unfiltered girl power: loud, free, and finally entirely her own.

COI

Leuven-based MC/producer Coi is known as one of the best freestyle rappers in the country. Besides freestyling, he also writes songs with a socially critical eye and an innovative flow.

He produces his own beats and draws on influences from multiple genres such as hip-hop, reggae dub and dubstep. He's already released several projects in collaboration with the Brussels platform Frontal, and has a stack of new tracks ready that hit hard. Raw lyrics and deep bass.

Lyna

Lyna is an R&B artist with a rich musical background and a recognizable, soulful sound. Inspired by icons like Brandy, Monica, Whitney Houston, Sade and Destiny's Child, she started making music as early as age four.

Her love for old-school R&B still forms the foundation of her style. Since her debut single Smoke in 2018, Lyna has released no fewer than 28 singles, 2 EPs and 2 albums. She also continues to impress live, including a show supporting TLC at De Roma.

LOV (afterparty)

LOV is an Afro-descendant DJ and multimedia artist from Brussels. Their music moves like an ocean: from deep, immersive melodies to rhythms that keep resonating long after. LOV explores influences from Jersey, Latin Club, Vogue, Brazilian Funk and Break, bringing fresh energy to Brussels' electronic scene.

They've already shared the stage with artists like Safety Trance, MISS JAY and TTristana. Their sets create spaces where music, connection and authenticity are central, with plenty of room for queer expression and pure energy.
