MUSIC VIDEO SESSIONS celebrates the music video as a fully-fledged film form. Many of today's most influential filmmakers, from David Fincher, Jonathan Glazer, and Melina Matsoukas to Sofia Coppola, developed their visual language in the world of the music video, where image and sound came together in an experimental way.
Each edition invites a filmmaker to share iconic clips, personal influences, and behind-the-scenes stories. Not videos to scroll away from, but collective cinematic experiences: loud, immersive, and made for the big screen. MTV hasn't disappeared; it has simply returned to the darkness of the movie theater.
The first edition is curated by Bertrand de Langeron, better known as So Me , the creative force behind the visual identity of Ed Banger Records and artists such as Justice, SebastiAn, Breakbot, Uffie, and Mr. Oizo.
For this opening night, So Me presents a personal selection of his finest work alongside his favorite clips and behind-the-scenes stories. Afterwards, the party moves to De Studio’s Rotonde for a high-energy dose of 2000s bloghouse, French touch, and electro with So Me and Liège legends Party Harders behind the decks.
