BLUR x SVS + Decoder + CCL + Boudewijn Ericx

For the final Saturday of October, we’re switching up the rhythms with a night of broken beats, bass-heavy grooves and hypnotic techno in the Sub.

Ghent’s Erykah will get things moving. Drawing from bass music, jungle, percussion and break-heavy club sounds, her sets are physical, unpredictable and packed with energy.

Next up, it’s a huge honour to welcome the one and only CCL. After completely blowing everyone’s minds at Waking Life this summer, we simply couldn’t resist inviting them to BLUR. Now based in Berlin after formative years in Seattle and Bristol, CCL is an exceptional DJ, producer and curator between downtempo, dub, house, psychedelic techno, bass music and faster, more twisted rhythms. A true dancefloor architect and the mind behind Subglow.

Closing the Sub is an artist we’ve had our eyes on for quite some time: Decoder. The Dallas-born young prodigy crafts deep, futuristic and hypnotic techno that feels minimal, cerebral and seriously danceable.

Expect one huge tunnel in the Sub.

Over in the Studio, our Tonton, Blur’s artistic director, SVS is treating himself to a little three-hour set for his birthday. He doesn’t really like us mentioning it… oooops.

For the occasion, he’s invited the excellent Boudewijn Ericx, a Brussels-based DJ, devoted record collector and longstanding figure of the city’s underground scene. Boudewijn is one of the driving forces behind Beautiful Freaks and Penguin Society, and is now also involved with the recently opened record shop and distribution platform Resonanz Record.

As a fellow record dealer and obsessive digger, SVS couldn’t think of anyone better to share the Studio with on this special night.

One thing is certain: some seriously big records will be coming out of the bags!!!
