NIGHTSHIFT
Formed in 2019, Glasgow's NIGHTSHIFT quickly carved out a unique sound: hypnotic, melodic, and understated indie post-punk with hooks that linger long after they’re heard. Following the success of their acclaimed album Zöe (2021) and the compilation Made of the Earth, the band has remained relatively quiet—until now.
Now regrouped as a quartet, NIGHTSHIFT is set to release their highly anticipated third album, Homosapien, on July 26, 2024, once again through Chicago’s esteemed Trouble In Mind Records. Recorded by guitarist Chris White and new drummer Rob Alexander, Homosapien highlights the enduring creativity of founding members Eothen Stearn and Andrew Doig, with contributions from Ray Aggs, Chris Wallace, and songwriting by the talented Georgia Harris.
This new album reaffirms NIGHTSHIFT's place in the indie scene, blending post-punk’s raw edge with intricate melodies and sonic textures. Join us as NIGHTSHIFT unveils Homosapien live—a mesmerizing journey through their evolving sound, ready to captivate audiences once again.
Another Dancer
Their sound is a refreshing take on utopian music, blending art-rock with influences from the 80s and 90s DIY aesthetics. Their debut album strikes a delicate balance between forgotten pop hits and experimental soundscapes, creating a distinctive sonic experience. With a mix of raw, spontaneous sounds and offbeat rhythms, Another Dancer crafts a unique form of heartfelt, yet fractured pop. Their music feels like a journey, one that embraces both chaos and beauty, all set against the nostalgic backdrop of tape hiss and AM radio compression that defines daily life in the city.
