Actress, singer, and maker Martha Canga Antonio unites the diverse talents of producers Marie Umuhoza and Vivi Focquet, set designer Jozef Wouters/Decoratelier, and a cast of hybrid performers on stage at DE SINGEL.
At the intersection of music, dance, and scenography, Canga Antonio explores the sensory experience of the sacred. By collectively moving through various spaces, the audience, alongside the artists, explores different modes of togetherness. As a result, HOLY sits somewhere between concert and performance. As a spectator, you let go of frameworks, certainties, and self-images, while inner reflection and echoes come to the surface. HOLY is not only a physical space, but also a state of heart and mind, where we let go of our egos and ideas about the world. So this is not just a show, but a journey towards freedom. Allow yourself to be literally carried away to that sacred haven by the performers.
