ANKER.CONCERT#15: Bubba EP-release

While Bubba were still stirring a variety of pots and pans with their first album Fallout in the Frenzy, the band has now discovered Le Creuset with their new EP. “WE ARE BUBBA THE BAND AND WE ARE GOING TO WIN” is a slow-cooked stew in which they’ve traded the sweet taste of carrots for a more complex flavour palette. Yes, the EP remains diverse, playful, and adventurous, but the band is no longer afraid of ingredients like fennel or Brussels sprouts.

In collaboration with mix-master Michiel Renson, they’ve created a brew in which every song offers a unique taste sensation, while the whole thing is still coated in their signature Bubba sauce. The lyrics no longer revolve around petty love troubles, but around a desire for clarity in a complex world, the winding course of a romantic relationship, and the joy of making music together as a band. To quote the wise poet Johan Cruijff: “Winnen doe je met z’n allen”.
