With Qui a tué notre quartier: Stalingrad - Lemonnier, Dérivé invites us to look at how Brussels' neighbourhoods are treated when major city projects take over. Faced with the construction of Metro 3 cutting through the area Stalingrad-Lemonnier, this three-part debate series investigates what gets lost in the name of progress, necessity and urgency, putting the focus back on the people who actually live and work there. Styled as a real-life "whodunit," the discussions unfold across three evenings: Act 1: Crime Scene (24.09), Act 2: Grief (15.10), and Act 3: Resurrection / Survival (03.11). Residents, local shopkeepers, and researchers come together to share evidence, tell their stories, and discuss how to protect the neighbourhood’s future.

Aline Olmos Steler: The Origin of the Future

What if you could read the future not in tea leaves or tarot cards, but in the marks left on your underwear? 

Brazilian theatre maker, clown and performer, Aline Olmos Steler, usually explores the boundaries of performance through chaos, layering and absurdity. This time, she seeks oracular insights in a place we rarely look: vaginal discharge, turning a taboo into a playful, absurd fortune-telling ritual. Blending humour, clowning, and DIY art, the performance looks at what society considers acceptable and what stays hidden.

herhalde. & Kudur — queer meyhane

The Turkish meyhane gets a queer cabaret makeover at Beursschouwburg, shaking its traditional and fundamental role as a place to gather and share wine, food, and long conversations. Brussels collective herhalde. joins forces with Berlin’s Kudur to turn the Beurscafé into a lively communal and cultural hangout. With homemade meze, glasses of rakı, drag, Turkish pop, and DJ sets, it is an evening to gather around the table, celebrate queer solidarity, and get shamelessly caught up in your feelings.

Basel Zaraa: What Will We Do Without Exile?

How do you imagine tomorrow when facing displacement and exile? In this multisensory installation, Palestinian artist Basel Zaraa transforms the inside of a refugee tent into a lush world, inviting the audience to imagine a life beyond occupation. While generations of Palestinian bodies have been confined to tents, their imagination has never ceased reaching toward liberation.

Through sounds, images, objects, stories, and tactile materials, the work celebrates the cultural richness of Palestine as a form of resistance. It is a sensory, moving tribute to resilience and the power of collective imagination.
