FLIES by Renato Miskolczki

How can one inhabit the uninhabitable? That is the question asked by Brussels and Budapest-based choreographer Renato Miskolczki in FLIES. Part installation, part performance, this vertical creation brings together three dancers suspended by ropes. They jump, fall, and run as they occupy the spaces we often take for granted. With this in-situ piece, Miskolczki invites the viewer to open their eyes and notice the unnoticed.

TENT by Pankaj Tiwari

Founded by curator and artist Pankaj Tiwari, TENT is an ever-changing project which shakes the art world up. It is, first and foremost, a tent where artists are invited to develop their practices. However, this project also acts as an alternative to white art institutions. It is a structure that doesn’t tokenize people’s identities. Rather, it fosters conversations and invites us to learn from one another. Throughout the week, all sorts of artists and researchers will inhabit the tent. The residency will be concluded on Radian Nights, where artists will showcase their work. Vegetarian bites will also be provided, for free!

UDIV & IDNI – Fokovisme

With Fokovisme, Younes van de Broeck and Ramos Sama want to break free from the dogmas of traditional art education. They created a universe where creativity runs free. In UDIV & IDNI, the two makers have brought together an audiovisual science fiction trip. They blend influences from Afrofuturism, hip-hop, and house in different mediums - music, costumes, projections, and dance. With UDIV & IDNI, the artists ask the question: 'What type of universe would we create if we had the power to do so?'

The Goldfish Bleeding in a Sea of Sharks – Thais de Marco

Brace yourselves for the wrestling event of the century! In The Goldfish Bleeding in a Sea of Sharks, choreographer Thais de Marco gives the middle finger to the neoliberal art market, which values capitalistic interest and corruption at the expense of local cultures and traditions. Taking inspiration from Latin American wrestling culture, known as Lucha Libre, good and evil will battle for the crown. But who will conquer the art world?

BIXARIA (Queer Brazilian Club Night)

23:00 - 2:00, ARTIESTENFOYER

Radiant Nights will close with BIXARIA, a queer Brazilian club night. Queer people of colour and friends are invited to dance the night away to the sounds of Pablo Vitar, Anita, Luisa Sonza, and many more. The party, hosted by the legendary Lucía Lodi, is a safe space to be yourself and set your body free.
