Dour Festival 2025 again proves why it’s one of Europe’s most iconic music gatherings, offering a diverse lineup of international heavyweights alongside a vibrant spotlight on Belgium’s thriving music scene. While global names fill the main stages, the festival continues to champion homegrown talent. From indie pop to electronics, Belgium’s emerging artists are carving out the bill with originality, depth, and undeniable presence. Here’s a closer look at five standout acts you won’t want to miss this year.

Martha Da’ro

A Belgian artist of Angolan descent, Martha Da’ro seamlessly blends soul, hip-hop, and funk, delivering songs that are uniquely elegant and emotionally resonant. Her unique voice and nuanced phrasing shine in the tracks on both her debut EP Cheap Wine & Paris and her follow-up album Philophobia. Beyond music, she’s earned acclaim as an actress, with roles in BlackRoomies and Lupin.

Uwase

Brussels-based singer-songwriter and producer Uwase crafts intimate indie pop infused with dreamy textures and emotional depth. Her music draws from personal narratives, brought to life through meticulous production and heartfelt lyrics. With a background in music production, Uwase delivers a sound that feels both vulnerable and polished, placing her firmly in Belgium's new wave of indie talent.

Clara D

Clara D, a multifaceted artist from Brussels, merges her skills as DJ, producer and painter to create immersive techno experiences. Her sets, performed at venues like Fuse and C12, are driven by raw grooves and hypnotic rhythms. As a resident at GIMIC Radio and a familiar name at Kiosk Radio, Clara continues to expand her sonic universe with a sharp, artistic edge.

Susobrino

Bolivian-born and Brussels-based, Susobrino is a producer and multi-instrumentalist fusing Latin American rhythms with forward-thinking electronic production. Using traditional instruments like the guitalele and zampoña, he creates rich, cinematic soundscapes that blend heritage with innovation. His EP Pocualeíto is a vibrant testament to this cross-cultural dialogue.

Eugene

Eugene is a Brussels-based artist merging hyperpop and digital post-punk into a fragile, emotive sound. His tracks feel like a distorted diary—vocoded rap, glitched-out beats and raw vulnerability. Often described as ‘Yung Lean’s little Belgian cousin who likes hitting the clubs,’ he’s both playful and intense. Eugene crafts a space where internet melancholy meets chaotic club energy with a distinctive voice all his own.
