COBY SEY

29.04.2023

Free for members

Cobey Sey is one of the most exciting figures in the UK’s underground scene. Hailing from South East London, his music revives trip-hop by dropping hints of spoken word, jazz, noise, dub, techno, and field recordings. It contrasts noisy, anxious beats with minimalist, quieter production. Lyrically, Sey’s surrealist poetry breaks binaries. On his debut album Conduit (2022), he oscillates between the political and the personal, demonstrating a wide palette of emotions.

LUCRECIA DALT

27.04.2023

Berlin-based Columbian sound artist Lucrecia Dalt is bringing her audaciously avant-garde sound to the Botanique stage. Her metallic compositions and pristine production masterfully present ethereal minimalism in ferocious complexity. Her background as a geotechnical engineer often makes its way into her work, providing a vast web of influences ranging from poetry to geology. Her latest album ¡Ay! experiments with the genres of her childhood, inviting the listeners to a new vision of Latin American musical identity. The album was named best of 2022 by Wire Magazine.

ELOI & BABYSOLO33

29.04.2023

ELOI gives us a tale of teenage woes laced with influences of minimal wave and 80s German pop. BabySolo33’s gives us a coming-of-age story, a faux-naïf nocturnal blend of cloud rap, rhythmic trap, and emo dancehall. Together, they represent the future of French hyperpop. They take the stage on the 29th of April for an evening of auto-tuned melancholic bangers.
