On the 2nd of March, the collective will be opening the PILAR ASAP festival. DJ collective Brikabrak is here to bring diversity to Belgium’s nightlife scene. From downtempo Afrobeats and Amapiano to fast-paced Batida and UK Bass, they bring influences from all over the world to create a unique dancefloor experience.

What do you first think of when you hear sexual energy? It is not something to be taken for granted. It transcends physical sensations. It has real healing power. These ideas can be traced back thousands of years ago. Eastern spiritual movements such as Tantra and Tao bring a vision that goes beyond the current Western understanding of sexuality. Curators Neoza Goffin and Maarten Vanermen selected six artists that bring these ideas to light. On the 2nd of March, the artists will also engage in a participatory performance that highlights the theme of the exhibition.

Where’s the fun in sex education? In Countersex Education, performer and artist Maxime Dreesen steers away from the macabre and the fleshy; there’s more to sex than our genitals’ anatomy and the horrors of STIs. Autobiographical anecdotes turn into universal political messages about gender, sexuality, and the queer experience.

This one’s for your lazy Sundays and your hungry tummies. For the past year, Matinée has been organizing nomadic slow music brunches all over Brussels. This time, they’re collaborating with Brussels and Ghent-based family Dauwtrip. You will be able to enjoy the eclectic lineup while relaxing in the spacious hall. Come as you are: bring your pillow, your blanket, your book, your friends, or whatever you’d like. Matinée will be serving brunch, so come with an empty stomach!
