The Dour Festival’s time of year is fast approaching, with nine stages ready to boast legendarily classic and newly risen multi-continent talents, plus those established right here on Belgian turf. Current unforgettable members of their lineup are sure to evoke emotional and bodily reverberations, featuring experimentally hybrid genres across rap, pop, metal, rock, punk; era-derived and regionally influenced dance production styles; even artist-defining equine and medieval head-mask performances! Here's what we think you need to see.

ELISE-THERE & MALIMAN

French and Martinican track selectors who are both very at home in the Brussels reggae-derived production scene, ELISE-THERE & MALIMAN share renown for their fluid application of steppers and sirens, echo sequences, and 90s-through-aughts dub representation. Each seasoned in residencies and well-paired b2bs, ELISE-THERE’s alertly relaxing command of the board complements the bounce-inducing cadence of Maliman’s pulsing platings. Combined, they’ll get everyone vibrating militantly on the floor.

Lézard

The quintuplet lovechildren of disco/art and post-punk/electro/new wave have popped up on all of Belgium’s radar for their record-setting (and 2026 Que Se Passe-t record releasing) iconic kookiness. From their sharply shimmery fashion to their music’s eager succumb to bizarrely infectious lyric melody swirls, it’s no surprise they also have the pizzazz to be super fun live.

Clara D

With a knack for orchestrating more atmospherically visceral frequencies, Clara D disrupts and re-centres the subconscious of her audiences’ undulating bodies with buttery otherworldly ease. Her tracks’ primary notes ricochet between souls to the far corners of a venue, where a mesmerising tempo is utilised to lull the crowd into the most radiant trance. Radio residencies and international tours aside, this peacefully futuristic DJ hails from Brussels.

Eosine

Liège’s face of the indie rock, shoegaze, neopsych dream pop hybrid with a dash of progressive influence evidently has to be Eosine. They conquer stages, and the beat with an antsy precision, and Elena Lacroix’s soft wash of racket-spawning vocals crash straight into the band’s beaming listeners.

Laura Violi

The club is aflush with the fusion of legendary bits with extraBelgian noise adaptations (recognisable UK break timings along with Latin-adjacent rhythmic patterns) when Laura Violi’s involved. We trust this dedicated NighTalk show host to unite the partygoing public with ever-expanding sonic multiplicity!
