Doel 2026 spotlights niche creative haunts

The village of Doel will be teeming with performing and visual artistic muses gathered at this year’s cross-cultural festivities. 25.07.2026 is the day for noisy grooves, hypnotically blissful mixes and hardcore + deconstructed iterations of e-dance. With endless multisensory outlets available to take in onsite, the Doel Festival’s new lineup should generate as much history for the music scene as what was almost topographically decimated just earlier this decade. Look for some of our highlighted interdisciplinary Belgian rhythmic acts below!
Pala10
Demonstrating rapidly subdued atmospheric shifts in her booth, with features of deep bass, grime, and dubstep, resulting from previous genre-switching experimentation, Pala10 initially based her selections on dub and roots reggae vinyl. Sets pulling from multiple eras channel a dynamic clubgoing feeling that respects the reward of a gradual build, imbuing spaces with her shared moody haze.

Emma Caers & Lorro
The organically dreamlike DJ duo sparked a friendship in Leuven once their clubbing compatibility became evident to each other. Poetic vocalisations, harmonising melodies, wildlife ambience and classical instrumentation are regularly selected. Together they’ve been featured on KIOSK radio and Microwave, and synchronise with a comfortable ease from wherever they transmit.

JEKKAMAÏ
Nighttime venues hail JEKKAMAÏ for his pulsating percussive techno rhythms a la ghettotech, chosen to stimulate a packed house with melodies that tickle listeners to move while moving with its own sense of joie de vivre. This Brussels-based head and curator of SIZZLEPROOF, a collective which centers electronic artists of colour, has a gift for producing impactfully raw and sensual global trance music.

Leïla Alice and Friends
Celestially fashioned and sounding multidisciplinary producer Leïla Alice lets body art colours, as well as their own soothing French-speaking vocals, among others, do the talking. Magnetising a universal appeal over many kiosk sessions and pin-drop levels of mesmerising focus from live spectators, their alter ego Lilo Soleil submerges you into their healingly galactic ritual of rare noise and vision.

waltur
Ethically and industrially sound collective-founder and DJ waltur is the embodiment of kitchen-sink gabber experimentation: pairing infectious grooves with neon lighting design, alternating video game sounds with hints of classical instrumentals and abrasive vocals. Her many artistic collaborations and friendly minglings with partiers have hardened her image among the modern likes of global dance music.
