The versatile artist Mathilde Fernandez started her career in the world of performance and visual arts, but also turned out to have musical talents. After two solo EPs ( 'Hyperstition' and 'Final Vegas' ) and a job as half of the duo ascendant vierge (founded with Paul Seul , known from the techno collective Casual Gabberz ), her third EP 'Sensible' is now out .
Through both electronic and acoustic landscapes Mathilde explores the intimate and personal on 'Sensible' more than ever, in a universe full of theatrical pop and uninhibited emotions.
Mathilde Fernandez regularly collaborates with other artists, such as Cécile di Giovanni and La Femme . She is known for combining different media: performance art, music, video, theatre, dance, exhibitions, curatorship - a philosophy perfectly illustrated by her new EP 'Sensible'. She lives and works in Brussels and Paris.
While hyperpop as a genre is conquering the world, our national queerpop pride Promis3 is also going strong in Belgium and beyond. Knack Focus recently named them "one of the most exciting acts of the Belgian pop scene, stylishly floating between pop and experiment". Musically they are completely at the level of the renowned PC Music label, and also with their own stunning visual identity.
