LUBOMYR MELNYK
Born in Ukraine and fled with his family to Canada after the fall of the Iron Curtain, where he began to develop his piano skills: the virtuoso pianist-composer Lubomyr Melnyk. He is the founder of a technique he has called “continuous music” and which he describes as a mix of classical piano, minimalist drumming, martial arts and transcendental meditation.

NINA VANHOENACKER
With 'Urban Refuge' Belgian cellist Nina Vanhoenacker fuses electronics, acoustic cello sounds and voice into a meditative, contemporary ritual.
Central to this is the brand new, electro-acoustic work 'I don't know I know; I don't know I don't know' she created earlier this year together with composer Anqi Liu, commissioned by VIERNULVIER, MIRY Concertzaal and Reiefestival Brugge.
