James Barnor - Studio of Life showcases the life of James Barnor. His photographs are also an important source of souvenirs and inspiration for Ghanaian-Dutch rapper Nnelg. FOMU invited Nnelg to the museum on Ghana's Independence Day for a tour & talk. Together with him, we will talk about how memories from the past and our culture can serve as inspiration for new work.
TOUR&TALK
Growth was an essential theme in Nnelg's latest album 'I See You'. He describes his album as a journey of self-knowledge and acceptance. During his journey, Nnelg discovered Ghanaian photographer James Barnor. He incorporated the souvenirs James Barnor collected into the music video Devil is a lie. With this music video in mind, FOMU asks Nnelg to add a new story to the Studio of Life exhibition.
