Mazey Haze is the stage name of songwriter, musician and producer Nadine Appeldoorn. She draws inspiration from artists such as ABBA, The Beach Boys, The Mamas and the Papas, Francoise Hardy, Margo Guryan and Armando Trovajoli.
Her new EP Back to the Start reveals her love of French New Wave cinema, Italian film music and 1960s psych-rock. On the excellent single "The Weight Of The Weekend," we hear dreamy indie pop already reminiscent of Sylvie Kreusch. The Line Of Best Fit calls it ".... at once both a track of smooth restraint and visceral imagery". The brand new single "I Feel Like A Child" also immediately receives a lot of acclaim from Clash Magazine and Dancing Bears, among others.
