• CRU ENCARNAÇÂO

Cru Encarnação is a performance artist and writer born in Lisbon and based in Berlin. In their work, they seek to create open-ended brainstorms that platform the cognitive-motorical and chemical-physical expansion of socially constructed meaning. His dissociative, fictional and speculative modus operandi discloses a fragile yet vicious reality.

M I M I (a.k.a. Maria Green) is a Brussels-based DJ, musician and artist who explores her Afro-European cultural background through art and music. In her eclectic DJ and live sets, she doesn't pin herself down to a particular musical style, but combines new tracks with old recordings, cosmic electronic sounds with straightforward percussion, experimental and accessible at the same time. M I M I particularly draws inspiration from nature, which she incorporates into her music via field recordings. Her eclectic approach has brought her to places such as Dekmantel, Pukkelpop, Nyege Nyege Festival and Boiler Room. Especially for the occasion, M I M I brings a brand new live set, created in residence at Het Depot. After the set, Leuven-based drummer Moene Peeters will bring an impro set.

Moene Peeters is a Leuven-based drummer. He studies jazz drum at LUCA School of Arts and is influenced by all kinds of musical styles. 

• AHO SSAN

Aho Ssan is the musical alter ego of Paris-based artist Niamké Désiré. After his studies graphic design and cinema he started combining electronic music with Ableton's Max For Live. His debut album Simulacrum (2020, Subtext Recordings) immerses you in a hyper-realistic cacophony of distorted sound clouds, interrupted melodies and bombastic contrasts, moving between intimate and filmic to seismic and explosive. A main influence is French philosopher Jean Baudrillard and his text Simulacres et Simulation. When applied to his own youth in the Paris banlieues, Aho Ssan wants to question the social facade of inclusion and equality. He recently performed his Simulacrum live on Berlin Atonal and created a fantastic album together with KMRU.
