No one does what IKRAAAN does. Through artists like Tupac, she discovered her passion for music. She combines this with a great love for the Dutch language. She developed her own dreamy singing style and takes you into a unique world in no time. Nowadays she likes to use the description of classical electronic jazz. IKRAAAN makes music out of sacred necessity. Obstacles, a bumpy road through life and the pain of being fundamentally different are among the difficult subjects she tackles.
Her first EP HAPPY PILL provided a breath of fresh air in 2019 in a climate of fast-moving music. Among others, Brihang, Zwangere Guy and Amenra are fans. In 2020, Studio Brussel selected her for the finale of De Nieuwe Lichting and she made the song Waarom with Jef Neve.
On her debut album Geestelijke Gezondheid, she expresses her emotions in an unflinching way and holds up a mirror to herself. You get an insight into her deepest desires and failures. Live, she performs the album with her three-piece band.
