The spontaneity of the music-making process is what sound artist Alabaster DePlume explores in his album Gold. Once again, this saxophonist and poet treads unknown paths: he organised live recording sessions with musicians who did not know beforehand what they were going to play nor were they allowed to listen to the recordings again. The result is absolutely unique : now a touch of Tom Waits, then some Ethiopian jazz or a nod to Alice Coltrane.
