A sensual struggle for two acrobats, Cuir poignantly shakes up the codes of contemporary masculinity. Between a waltz of the gladiators and tango for sumo wrestlers, two athletes in fetching underwear and leather harnesses draw on the carnal dynamics of acrobatic lifts. Games of force and power in the presence of another are put to the test, especially of the sensitive, as soon as two bodies share the same space and confront each other’s interests. Between traction and attraction, lifter and liftee do not aim for power over the other, but rather power and fragility together with the other.
