The June issue usually gives way to a new 20-something list, featuring models, musicians, actors, illustrators, fashion designers, photographers, artists, architects,... and so much more. The people who are a representation of young society in Belgium, a generation ready to rule our world. In 2020, hence the double number, we’re serving you, hungry hearts, 2 editions of our acclaimed list. That’s right, we’re doubling the amount of features, starting a bit earlier. Let us introduce you to the faces you didn't realise you wanted to meet!

BRYN

Singer-songwriter, Brussels

What do we & our readers need to remember about you?

I'd like to be remembered as a kind person and an ambitious dreamer.

What is the (near) future bringing you?

A lot of questions: How will my exams go? Will my music reach more people as time passes? Am I on the right path?

What are you up to these days?

When I'm not studying, I've been listening to a lot of music, dancing in my room trying to mend my broken heart.

I'd like to be remembered as a kind person and an ambitious dreamer

What artists are you listening to?

Gracie Abrams, Taylor Swift and Fleetwood Mac.

Which records are you playing most right now?

Unmiss You by Clara Mae, Run Away With Me by Carly Rae Jepsen and Stayaway by MUNA have been saving me.

What makes your heart go faster these days?

When my eyes wonder and find themselves staring at a random object that brings me back to happier moments.

What are you doing daily at 9pm/9am?

I'm usually sleeping at 9am and drinking wine at 9pm.

How do you bring some routine into your days?

I downloaded Google Agenda and made a plan to try and make my days less hazy. It's been a week and I haven't opened the app once so if anybody knows, please dm me.

What does your face mask look like?

I don't have a skincare routine but I should invest.

What’s your personal utopia?

Being financially stable and then buying a house for my parents and a second one where I'd live with my friends and we'd all be happy and dance all day.

What brings you satisfaction?

Making my mom laugh with my dumb jokes.

What’s your favourite lockdown Instagram account?

My friend @lizpintoemelo :-).

What’s your favourite lockdown book?

Gen Z doesn't read books. We read tweets and I recommend @jaboukie.

What’s your favourite lockdown film?

I haven't had the time to watch any as I've been studying and crying to Lorde a lot.

How do you keep healthy?

I try to exercise in the morning and drink water!

What’s one of your sources of inspiration that may surprise people?

I'm obsessed with nostalgia so I just get lost on the internet reading stories of people's experiences when they were younger.

What would you like to be doing in 10 years time?

I would like to be on the set of a movie I'm acting in and doing the music for.

How does the current crisis make you feel?

Very privileged to be healthy and in lockdown with a loving and caring family.

How important are fellow companions now? How do you reach out?

I try to send a message from time to time but with social media it's pretty easy to know what people are up to.

What is the latest/future project you are working on?

I just released a single called ‘Teenage Dreams’ and I'm working on a homemade video with clips from my high school years (I told you I was obsessed with nostalgia).

Did you have an exhibition/concert/show on your agenda these days? Which one?

All my shows have sadly been cancelled and safety is what comes first so we're waiting to reschedule.

What will the second part of 2020 bring you?

I'm going to release my EP Middle 8 and I'm hoping the project will be successful and bring me new opportunities.

Who is the person that most influenced you throughout your development in life?

Beyoncé. I aspire to be as hardworking and innovative as her.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned lately?

That sometimes things don't last forever and you have to learn to let go in order to grow.

Is there anyone in your scene who needs more attention?

To be honest? Me. Also my girl Ruby Grace. The new pop kids are ready to make you dance.

Comfort food/specialty dish now?

Comfort food is anything my mom makes because it's made with love.

Lockdown hobby?

I've been playing the guitar a lot and writing my feelings down. Contemplating the indie rock era.
